There are two main types of rearview mirrors: interior mirrors and exterior mirrors.
Their location, function, and field of view vary. Here are their differences and specific features:
Interior mirror (interior mirror) Location:
Mounted inside the vehicle, usually fixed in the center above the front windshield, close to the middle of the driver's line of sight.
Function: Provides a straight-line view behind the vehicle to help the driver observe the traffic behind. At night or in strong light conditions, the interior mirror usually has an anti-glare function to reduce the interference of the lights of the rear vehicles on the driver's eyes.
Field of view: Cover the road conditions behind the vehicle through the rear windshield. It can provide a wide field of view, but it is limited by the space in the car and the size of the rear windshield.
Features: Mainly used to observe the overall traffic conditions behind the vehicle, especially when driving in a straight line or changing lanes.
Usually designed to be manually or automatically adjusted to accommodate different driver heights and sitting postures.
